Dawsonville Dance

Russian Ballet Master Comes to Dawsonville Dance!

January 4, 2018   |   MaryM

Dawsonville Dance is hosting a very important guest in just a few weeks! Valery Lantratov is once again coming to teach ballet master classes for Dawsonville Dance Ballet students, Level II and up.

Mr. Lantratov is from Moscow and was a principal dancer with the Moscow Ballet and Kremlin Ballet. He is currently the director of the Russian National Ballet Foundation. He tours the world, giving ballet students everywhere a taste of ballet with a Russian flavor. He has been teaching annual master dance classes at Dawsonville Dance since 2012!

Master classes are a wonderful tradition in ballet. They involve inviting a dance professional from another area to come teach your students. Ballet is unique in that it spans language and cultural boundaries and enables us to have something in common with a stranger from the other side of the world. Having this cultural experience helps to inspire a sense of belonging to an international dance world. The love for dance bridges so many divides!

This is a wonderful, horizon-broadening opportunity we encourage you to take advantage of. We are proud to offer this quality of training just for our Dawsonville Dance students!
