Piano is a great instrument to start with if you are new to music. You will learn how to read music as well as the basics of music theory. You are sure to have fun learning how to play this beautiful instrument. Adult students and children over the age of 7.
Starting as young as age 7, our violin lessons are a great way for children to be introduced to music. Our teacher is very patient and will help your child be on their way to learning and playing music! From classical violin pieces to more upbeat bluegrass fiddle, your child will have fun and learn how to read music in the process!
John plays numerous instruments including the piano, violin, and mandolin. During high school, he played second violin in a youth orchestra. His senior year, he auditioned for the first time and was honored to make it to All State Choir as a second tenor. John also plays the organ and frequently plays at churches all over Georgia.
John enjoys singing in the church choir and participating in ensembles. He is also pursuing a computer science degree.
John has extensive musical knowledge that he explains to his students in a very understandable and patient manner. We’re very happy to have him teaching piano at Dawsonville Dance!
Abby is in her 9th year studying at Dawsonville Dance and is a founding member of the Dawsonville Dance Performance Team.
Abby began playing the violin at age 6. She has competed in the Fiddler’s Convention for several years and in 2017, she was named 2nd Place Fiddle Champion of Georgia for the Jr age division. Abby was the star fiddler in the bluegrass band, “Hand-Picked in Dixie”, for 6 years and has performed all over the Southeast.
Abby fills many roles at Dawsonville Dance including hip-hop dance teacher, front desk staff, and violin instructor. In her spare time, she enjoys music engineering and playing Minecraft. Abby is excited for her 7th year as the violin instructor at Dawsonville Dance!
